Hello KCS parents and students and Prospective KCS parents and students,
We have gotten off to a great start here at KCS this year. We have increased enrollment beginning the year and look forward to our numbers continuing to grow as the weeks pass. I have been so proud of the student body here this first week of school. They have really adjusted well to all the new improvements we are making in our curriculum and our discipline. I am so proud to see the respectful way they are treating one another and the staff. I have never seen such servants in action.
If you don’t already know we are spending this year teaching the children about being KNIGHTS. We believe that our mascot is an example of what Christ wants us to be. We should always put others first and work together as a team. A KNIGHT has many characteristics which are taught in the Bible. However, we don’t need physical armor. Think about little David fighting Goliath. He did not wear King Saul’s armor, but he still came out a winner. Why? He won because he was a Godly man: A KNIGHT for CHRIST. We are encouraging the students here to be in the word daily. We encourage them to do this not only through our Chapel time and Bible classes, but also throughout our curricula.
We are encouraging all the staff to make the Bible connection for students in every lesson they teach. It is so important that we help the students to understand the Christian World View. We want them to know that in everything they do, they should strive to please God. Our teachers are working diligently to build a Bible curriculum which spans our curricula and allows students who are at KCS from Pre K3-12th grade to have heard and discussed the entire Bible at least once, and to be sure they understand how to study the Bible using appropriate study guides.
I am so proud to be a part of the KCS family. The staff here is dedicated to making sure the students are prepared to enter the world wherever they choose and be whatever they want to be. Christ made each one an individual, and He expects us to be the best us we can be!!!!!!
