Nancy McClane: 4th Grade

Nancy McClane has a Bachelor of Science degree from Freed-Hardeman University in elementary education and art education. She was a guest teacher in the Troy, Michigan school district, and she was a co-teacher for ten years in Holt School District in Lansing, Michigan. She has completed two graduate level classes at Michigan State University. In addition to teaching, she has been very busy as a professional artist. She has given private art lessons for years and has painted murals on walls for churches and schools. She has also sold her work at different art and craft shows. She is the mother of two adult daughters, one a nurse at U.T. Medical Center and the other a student majoring in Elementary Education. Her husband preaches at the Highland View Church of Christ in Oak Ridge, Tennessee.

Mrs. McClane has received the Who's Who among America's Teachers award for the 2006/2007 school year and again for the 2007/2008 school year. This is a National award honoring our Nations top 5% of teachers.
